Back to Real Life!!

I have been off of work for a couple of months now, and while I have enjoyed every second of it...it is time to get back to real life. Starting tomorrow I will be working again. Since I have been back from Girl's Camp, I have been relaxing, sleeping in, and just hanging out. Corey is taking a summer school class (poor guy) but has had a lot more free time lately. We have been trying to think of things to do the last couple of weeks to keep busy. We went to the local water park, walked around Wal Mart a number of times for no reason, went to an Oklahoma Red hawks baseball game, and mastered Fusion Frenzy game on XBox 360. We also got new callings in the ward, which has been kind of fun. I'm the 1st counselor in Young Womens, which I have loved. It keeps me busy and I love hanging out with all the girls. Corey is a Gospel Doctrine teacher (ha ha). No, he has taught one lesson and did awesome! We are loving the weather in OK and glad that we are not in 110 degree heat in Vegas. Here are some pictures from the baseball game last night!

Only in Oklahoma!

I am not very good at being diligent in blogging, but that is mainly because we don't have too much stuff going on. This past week I had the opportunity to go to Girl's Camp with the Young Women in our ward and the other wards in the Oklahoma City Stake. We went to a State Park in eastern OK, about 2 hours outside of OKC. I had so much fun at girl's camp and enjoyed spending time with all the young women. But I was excited to get home to a warm shower and a bed instead of sleeping the bed of my truck. The Thursday night that we were at camp, a huge storm was heading towards us. The storm had four different rotations heading right towards our camp ground, it was pretty scary. All of the girl's were in the main mess hall which was the ONLY safe building to be in during the storm. We all ended up being fine and the rotations went north and south of us, but I was thinking this is the kind of thing that only happens in Oklahoma! Corey called me the night of the storm to tell me that there was a tornado warning right where we were. I am so glad that tornado season is almost over. Really the only bad thing about Oklahoma is the crazy weather!

Weekend in San Francisco!

Well, we just got back from San Francisco and Oakland, where we spent a very fun weekend. We initially went there because a mission companion of Corey's got married in the Oakland Temple on Saturday. That gave us an excuse to get out of town. Corey's parents met us there. I absolutely LOVE San Francisco. It is so beautiful. We were able to do a lot of things in the short time that we we there. We went to a Giants baseball game, rode the cable cars, walked around Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39, enjoyed excellent sea food, drove the Golden Gate Bridge and played numerous games of pinochle. The only bad thing was when we were eating at a very fancy seafood restaurant and I bit into my meal and cut myself on a piece of ceramic plate that was in my dish. My mouth wouldn't stop bleeding, and it was very embarrassing. We did get two free dinners though for my injury. Here are some pictures from the trip!! Now we are back to real life. Corey starts summer school on Monday and it goes through the end of July. He is enjoying his week off. I am going to girl's camp soon with my ward. We are just having fun enjoying the nice warm weather in Oklahoma.

One Year Down!

As I am typing this right now, Corey is finishing his last final of his first year of law school. How exciting is that? That means we only have two more years to go. Corey has worked REALLY hard this year and I am so proud of how hard he worked. Corey has read hours upon hours upon hours of books about civil procedure, contracts, and some other boring stuff. I'm just excited to have my husband back and so that we can have a conversation that doesn't include legal jargon!

A Little Catch Up!!

It has been too long since I last posted something. We have been pretty busy around here, so I guess I need to play catch up. A lot has happened since we went to Dallas over a month ago. I quit my job at the end of April. I am a much happier person now! I went home to Vegas for a week and a half at the beginning of May to spend some time with my family. It was a lot of fun. It was nice to get out of town. I left my poor husband behind so that he could take his finals. He has been suffering through finals for about two weeks now. His last one is this Friday and then FREEDOM!! One year of school down, only two more to go! We are leaving for California this weekend to go to a wedding and I will post pictures when we get back. Also, I am going to girl's camp in my ward with the young women in a couple of weeks. Anyways, here are some pictures of me in Vegas. Most of the pictures are at the Bellagio when we went to see the Gardens. There is also pictures of the crazy cat and the new dog, Fenway.

Dallas, TX

So this weekend Corey and I decided to get out of the city and head to Dallas, which is only about a three hour drive from OKC. We decided to make it an anniversary weekend since we will be celebrating three years on Tuesday. We left Saturday morning and stayed in a hotel that night and then came home Sunday. It was really fun to get away from school and work and just enjoy the weekend. When we first got to Dallas we were driving around downtown. We then headed up to the Galleria Mall, which is HUGE, and walked around there for a while. For dinner, Corey wanted to go somewhere new, but we ended up going to Macaroni Grill and it was good! We also visited the JFK 6th Floor Museum. It was really interesting to see where JFK got shot and so we had to take lots of pictures. That is what most of the pictures are from. Overall, Dallas was awesome and can't wait to go back.

Happy Birthday!

So today my little sister turns 17! I can't believe it, she is getting so old. I am so proud of her and everything she does. She is such a good girl and we love her very much. She is the best sister! She was born on April Fool's Day. Hope you have a great birthday McCall! (Don't hate me for the picture I posted.)
