Ciara says I have to write something on our blog. Last week was spring break and I went to Mexico. It was a lot of fun. Did some fishing and playing on the beach. I didn't take any picutes in Mexico, hopefully I will remember the camera next time. Other than that all I pretty much do is read books and hope that I don't get called on in class. UNLV lost to Kansas...that was sad but I didn't expect them to win. We finally got to watch a game on TV and they lost.

March Madness!

The best time of the year has officially begun. I love March for one reason and that is college basketball and the filling out of the brackets. Since UNLV became the MWC champs on Saturday, they are in the tournament this year!! Unfortunately if they make it past the first round then they get to play Kansas. I am making Kansas my national champs this year so when UNLV plays them at least they can say that they lost to the national champions. Good Luck Rebels!! Game play starts this Thursday against Kent State. Anyways, in other news my husband is spring breaking it on a trip to Mexico with his dad, brother, friends, etc... Basically they all went on a Man's Trip. He totally deserves this with how hard he works everyday in law school. He has been gone since Friday and there is no cell phone connection where they go. I can only imagine what a bunch of guys do in a cabin with access to four wheelers and fireworks. He comes home this Friday and I can't wait!! At least my mom has been here since last Thursday to keep me company. She just left this morning, but I had an awesome time hanging out with her. We rented movies, ate at Mimi's twice and just hung out and RELAXED. It was a great weekend.

What Were We Thinking??

On Saturday we bought the game Rock Band. While we do agree it was probably the best purchase that we have made in a long time, we have to ask ourselves what were we thinking!?!? For someone who is in their first year of law school and needs to study an average of 10+ hours a day, this was probably not the smartest purchase. Good thing I'm not in law school and only my poor husband is because I can enjoy this game whenever I want. This is the most addicting game ever. Once you think you are done you always want to play just one more song. After playing all weekend we can officially almost play the drums and guitar on hard. I usually don't sing because it would be torture to anyone listening. I have belted out the words to "Hit me with your best shot" when noone was around though. Anyone who is thinking about getting this game it is soooo worth it.

Tornado season!

So tonight we got our first official tornado warning since we have been here. Since Corey and I are new to Oklahoma's weather, we got out our flashlights, cell phones, battery operated radios, and pillows in case we had to go in the bathtub. We were almost prepared to get our mattress off the bed. It was quite funny to watch our reaction to the tornado sirens going off. We weren't quite sure what to do. We just stood there for a minute saying I think those are the sirens going off. We are used to Las Vegas weather where there are no seasons and the only temperature is HOT. I am not looking forward to the spring time here when tornadoes come. The funny thing about today is that the movie Twister was on this afternoon and I was watching it. I think I was a little worked up after watching that movie and then hearing the sirens go off. It ended up not being a big deal, a lot of rain, lightning and thunder. So, other than the fun we had tonight we haven't been up to much of anything. Corey has been sick this whole weekend and I haven't been feeling too good myself. Corey is still busy with school as usual and I am just working all the time it feels like. We are so looking forward to two weeks from now. Corey is going ;to Mexico for spring break and my mom is going to come out to OK to keep me company. :)

Go Rebels!!

So as many of you know, Corey and I are obsessed with UNLV basketball. It is hard to be a Rebel fan in Oklahoma since we can't watch any of the games and we have to watch it on ESPN game tracker. Well, today UNLV faces BYU in Provo and we are very nervous about this. Although last time UNLV and BYU played each other the Rebels won by 30 points. I just had to add that in. So today we are wishing the Rebels good luck. Let's see what else has been going on. This morning we woke up and went to a primary activity. We teach the sunbeams and we have the cutest kids in our class. It has been raining like crazy today and we got even more ICE!! I hate the ice. You gotta love the weird Oklahoma weather.

Summer please come fast!!

Winter in Oklahoma City is not fun. It has been snowing here the past couple days so the roads are really icy. We are so ready for warmer weather so that we can go outside!! But in the meantime, Corey and I absolutely love the show LOST. It is one show that Corey actually likes and one that we can watch together. Usually I have to convince Corey to watch TV with me. So I am glad that LOST is back on. Since the new season started on Thursday, I can tell it is going to be a great season. Other than LOST being the highlight of the year so far, nothing too exciting has been happening since Corey started another semester in law school again. There have been a few fun things that we have done in 2008 so far. Corey taught me how to play X Box 360, which I love now. We play Ghost Recon which is probably the best game ever. We drive around looking at houses in Oklahoma City for fun. We completed a puzzle of Las Vegas. And we learned how to make P.F. Chang's orange chicken from scratch...which is amazing!

Home for the Holidays!

Well, we wanted to try a blog so people can really see how boring law school lives are. Hopefully people will enjoy it. We recently just went home to Las Vegas for Christmas and it was really fun. It was fun to see family and friends. We did so much stuff while we were there. We ate out alot, went shopping, went to the show Mystere, and just hung out with family and friends. Corey was so excited because he got an XBOX 360 and he was totally suprised. Probably one of my favorite presents was our OU blanket that my mom made us. I love OU football so I thought it was pretty cool. We got back the day before New Year's Eve and we went to downtown Oklahoma City to ring in the New Year. It was freezing cold outside, but fun to ring in 2008. I just wanted to post some pictures from our trip home to Las Vegas!! I also put a picture of Stockton my family's dog who is getting put down today. We will miss him!
